Summary
Provides overall operational management of the Physical Rehabilitation Unit including, but not limited to, financial management, resource utilization, strategic planning and management of programmatic outcomes. Organizes and directs professional and support staff to ensure safe, compliant and economical care in accordance with professional standards, hospital and regulatory agencies. Collaborates with nursing service and therapy service line directors on an ongoing basis to ensure best clinical practices on unit. Provides leadership to ensure that goals and objectives are in alignment with facility goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Provides financial management of Rehabilitation Unit including providing input into operational and capital budgets, authorization of expenditures and monitoring of revenues and expenditures.
Collaborate with Administration, Medical Director and other team members to develop and evaluate marketing strategies to promote or increase program opportunities.
Reinforces organizational commitment to Service First by focusing on providing quality while fostering optimal employee, patient and physical satisfaction.
Implements and evaluates performance improvement activities by identifying areas of opportunity to ensure quality is consistent with established guidelines.
Promotes a safe, functional and effective environment for patients, staff and others.
Promotes relationships with educational institutional institutions and professional staff within facility.
Function as a resource person to community, staff, medical staff and healthcare provides regarding post-acute care continuum of care.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Completion of Diploma, Associate Degree, BS or Master's Degree in Nursing, Social Services, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy.
Five years in post-acute care setting. Demonstrated leadership skills.
