Position Summary: Responsible for the point of purchase system, recording sales, completing, daily inventory, serving cocktails, and appetizers to residents in the Light horse Lounge. Keeping the lounge clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Annual Online Education from Relias, Food Safety and Cleaning Education and Compliance with those policies and procedures
• Departmental orientation and dining room service training, use of the point of purchase system, and bar operations.
• Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior with residents, families, co-workers, subordinates, supervisors, and other departments.
• Maintains resident confidentiality and privacy at all times, according to Baptist Senior Family policies and procedures; uses discretion when discussing resident matters
• Maintains positive working relations with Baptist Senior Family’s management and providers; willingly follows requests and directions as appropriate
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of work assignments, performs assignments in a manner to meet quality and timeliness objectives
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Baptist Senior Family policies and procedures; seeks clarification or interpretation of questions concerning policies/procedures from appropriate supervisor.
• Adheres to Baptist Senior Family’s attendance policy by maintaining an adequate absentee rate and provides proper documentation to support absences when appropriate or required.
• Always complies with applicable safety policies and procedures as prescribed by the organization, as well as government regulations
• Maintains RAMP certification
• Secures knowledge of items served on menu and identifies allergens in regards to appetizer/ dessert menu
• Maintains bar area in clean and orderly manner. All items are labeled and dated
• Drink garnishes are prepared fresh daily and dated
• Complete uniform with name badge at all times
• Sanitizing bucket filled with cleaning cloths
• Daily inventory is complete and orders placed.
• All orders are double checked for accuracy
• Responsible for serving alcoholic beverages to residents and guests in the bar and handling situations as they arise
• All drinks are measured and served correctly- 1oz alcohol- 5 oz wine
• Demonstrate opening and closing duties. Ensuring all areas are secure
• Glassware/barware are clean, spot fee and impeccable at all times. Restocking as needed
• Can operate card watch/ input food and alcohol orders correctly
• Zero occurrences of overpouring
• upselling featured drink/ appetizers and desserts in bar
• Greets every customer with a smile and welcome to the lounge attitude
• Non-peak times bartenders are cleaning and organizing bar/tables/condiments
• Daily cleaning assignments are completed and signed of
• Temperatures charts are completed and a supervisor alerted for any issues
• Chairs, tables, centerpieces and menus are cleaned during and after service
• Plans weekly drink specials, utilizing seasonal opportunities
• Avoids discussions of politics, religion or any other topics that are controversial
• Utilizes a tray for all beverage service, handles glassware from the bottoms
• Daily Bar log is documented for any breakage, resident issue or run out of products
• Must be in uniform and wear black slip/oil resistant shoes only.

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED or 16 years of age
- Certification in mixology, One-year experience as a bartender in an upscale environment.
Preferred: RAMP training
Work Schedule:
Part-time: 3:00 PM- 11:00 PM
