Position Summary:
The Learning Specialist (25 hours) will conduct classroom and online facilitation of the Company’s operational, technical, regulatory, and sales & service initiatives. This role will deliver learner-centered initiatives using classroom, eLearning, micro learning, and blended learning designs incorporating adult learning theory into activities and content.
Responsibilities (Essential):
- Delivers formal and informal learning solutions in a manner that is both engaging and effective. Creates a positive learning environment by incorporating a variety of learning methodologies which align solutions with course objectives and learner needs.
- Conducts both in-house and third party training solutions which include a blended approach to learning. Collaborates with Senior Learning & Development Specialists and VP, Learning & Development on curriculum design to improve effectiveness and to incorporate innovative adult learning techniques into materials.
- Collaborates with HR Business partners and business clients to conduct skill gap analyses and assists the VP, Learning and Development to develop learning paths.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring that product, process, sales, service regulatory, and financial institution knowledge are maintained.
- Enthusiastically support the Bank’s and Brand Behaviors.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act.
- Comprehend and adhere to federal banking regulations in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.

- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in organizational communication, instructional design/technology, education or business highly desired. Certified Trainer or industry recognized designation highly desired.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a learning and development capacity or experience in a financial institution.
- Experience and understanding of classroom facilitation and eLearning facilitation through Zoom or similar tool. An understanding of training methodologies and best practices (ADDIE/SAM), including all aspects of adult learning motivation.
- Experience with Articulate other similar authoring tool helpful.
