Reservations Supervisor

As a Reservations Supervisor, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our reservations department, supporting the Reservations Manager and ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Guided by the Reservations Manager, you’ll play a key role in optimizing occupancy, managing group bookings, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

You’ll be working your magic on a full-time year-round remote basis while residing within a local mileage distance of the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa. This is a 40-hour-per-week position, typically Sunday through Thursday, with occasional adjustment to work days of the week and holidays as needed. The starting wage is $21 per hour.

Here are some more details:

Essential Duties:

• Oversee the reservations team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Train, mentor, and support team members to achieve their best.
• Provide comprehensive training to new employees and ongoing support for Opera Cloud, Revinate Reservation Sales, Microsoft 365, and other systems.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve software-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Optimize revenue and occupancy by meticulously updating availability and restrictions in Opera Cloud, third-party travel sites, and the Bar Harbor Inn website.
• Work closely with the Reservations Manager, assisting with managing department operations, coaching staff, and creating materials to ensure a positive first impression for Bar Harbor Inn guests.
• Mange phone calls, emails, and clerical tasks with finesse.
• Manage room inventory and rates to maximize revenue.
• Handle group reservations, special requests, and unique situations with professionalism and accuracy.
• Oversee and process all guest gift card purchases, ensuring accurate handling and prompt fulfillment.
• Monitor guest feedback and address concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to improve department performance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and reservations software (training provided).
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, collaborative attitude and a commitment to guest service excellence.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in hospitality, reservations, or front office management is preferred.
• Proven track record in team leadership is a plus.

Performance Measurement:
