Job Title: Quality Inspector
Reports To: Quality Manager
Overview
The Quality Inspector ensures that all work performed on aircraft and its components complies with Repair Station, manufacturer, customer, Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and airworthiness requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper execution of the prescribed FAA forms for major repairs or major alterations.
- Ensure all inspections are properly performed on completed work and that appropriate inspection records, reports, and forms are executed before releasing the product for return to service.
- Verify that all maintenance is performed in accordance with industry standards, FAA regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and operator manuals, including determining parts certification and serviceability.
- Perform aircraft records research.
- Help develop and maintain aircraft status sheets.
- Assist in Repair Station training and training records.
- Perform aircraft area and panel closeouts.
- Ensure proper execution of FAA Forms 337, 8130-10, and 8110.
- Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections of all articles processed by the Repair Station.
- Ensure proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the Repair Station/Quality manual, including the final disposition of rejected parts.
- Verify that incoming and outgoing aircraft records are complete and accurate.
- Perform weight and balance computations.
- Ensure compliance in obtaining STC or field approvals.
- Review work orders.
Qualifications
- Holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- IA-FAA certification (Preferred).
- Knowledgeable of applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, company operations specifications, FARs, and relevant sections of company operations and maintenance manuals.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience with rotorcraft.
- Previous experience in a 145 Repair Station.
- Experience working on Bell, Airbus, and Leonardo helicopters.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Lean Logic (a plus).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Availability to travel as required.
- Legal right to work in the United States.

Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
