Job Summary: Under the direction of the department supervisor, is responsible for COVID-19 screening and greeting patients, visitors, vendors, physicians and staff entering and leaving the hospital. Will conduct screening following guidelines as directed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Will provide excellent customer service. Training of employees as needed. Maintenance of a neat, orderly and sanitized lobby area.
Responsibilities:
- Greets and conducts COVID-19 symptom screening of all persons entering the facility.
- Conducts screening following Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines along with those set forth by executive staff and directed by supervisors.
- Integrates all components of AIDET (acknowledge, introduce, duration, explanation, and thank you) when interacting with patients, guests, and co-workers.
- Performs to service excellence standards: Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to all customers’ needs and Cooperates and communicates effectively with all patient, families and staff.
- Greets patients, family members, vendors, physicians and staff in a friendly, courteous and expedient manner.
- Cleans and sanitizes the lobby furniture between patients and visitors.
- Provides general information to the public, patients, guests, and others
- Directs patients and visitors to appropriate locations upon request.
- Performs other related responsibilities as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of prior work experience in acute care/medical experience
