Position Overview:
As the Weld Shop Foreman, you will oversee all welding operations, ensuring that work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. You will manage a team of skilled welders, supervise production schedules, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of welders to ensure high-quality welds and adherence to project specifications.
- Oversee daily welding operations, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate workflow, delegate tasks, and maintain production schedules.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to the team.
- Conduct regular inspections of weld quality and work areas.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent (certifications in welding preferred).
