What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Technologist position at Barbers Hill ISD?
Job Description:
Develop new efforts/initiatives to help teachers integrate technology into the curriculum. Provide professional development opportunities for all staff members to achieve, over time, a high level of competency in using technology. Assist in the selection of equipment and software for new technology programs. Additionally, assist in the writing of technology related grants, maintenance of district software licensing, and maintenance of overall district technology programs.
Duty Days: 197 Days
Salary (Based on 2024-2025 Compensation Plan):
Minimum: $70,000
(Salary based on commensurate experience)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
Knowledge of current applications (Web technologies, Google, email systems, OS, productivity)
Knowledge of current technologies (including and not limited to mobile devices, tablets, laptops and desktops)
Knowledge of curriculum design and usage
Knowledge of current technologies and their infusion in instructional settings
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Minimum 5 years teaching experience required
