We are currently searching for a Medical Records Coordinator to join our growing practice in Atlanta, GA. The Medical Records Coordinator must be able to effectively assist our Medical Records Department Team as needed while maintaining a professional working environment. Light duties of accurately processing Certified Medical Records requests, following-up on phone call and/or email inquiries pertaining to record requests and any other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compile medical records and billing statements from multiple systems into one file per medical records requests.
- Ensure medical records are organized, accurate and complete.
- Create both paper and digital copies of paperwork and storing records electronically.
- Transferring incoming paperwork and reports from other providers quickly and accurately into practice systems
- Burning CD of patient’s images (XRAY, CT, MRI)
- Safeguarding patient records and ensuring patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Preparing invoices, posting charges & processing medical records payments
Qualifications:
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records system preferred.
- 2 years of Administrative or Medical Office work experience required.
- Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat experience preferred.
