Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for an experienced 2nd Shift Fabrication Supervisor at our facility in Madison, Ga.

Scope and Responsibilities :
As a Fabrication Supervisor, you will oversee hourlyproduction employees in the Shop area, ensuring high levels of quality, safety,and productivity while meeting production schedules. You will plan and assignwork, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements inproduction methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate activities of hourly workers.
- Observe operations and ensure worker compliance with prescribed methods and procedures. Document potential situations that could lead to disciplinary action.
- Maintain 95% on-time work order completion.
- Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain and continually improve quality standards.
- Track absenteeism and tardiness, maintaining computerized attendance records.
- Train and coach subordinates.
- Conduct on-the-job training for newly assigned workers.
- Conduct regular informative meetings and document minutes.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Ensure all safety standards are met.
- Control and monitor costs, aiming for continual improvement in productivity.
- Maintain 95% inventory record accuracy.
- Ensure effective employee relations, providing coaching and development. Make employment decisions and resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Continuously improve in all areas.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to the manager.
- Perform accident investigations.
- Maintain proper inventory levels.
- Manage department priorities.
- Overtime as needed
The successful candidate will possess the following skills / abilities :
High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in technical, engineering or related field is preferred.
Familiarity with various and particular functional areas such as fabrication, welding, assembly, shipping, etc.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Basic Computer Skills - Word, Excel, AS400
Ability to read blueprints
