As the Liquor Store Clerk, you will be an essential part of our liquor store operations, ensuring that our customers have a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. In this role, you will assist customers with selecting and purchasing our exclusive line of distilled products and merchandise, operate the point-of-sale system, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
General Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them select products and answering questions about our distillery’s offerings.
- Observes customers, checks identification for proof-of-age and denies service to underage or intoxicated customers
- Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
- Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain proper inventory levels
- Keep the store clean and organized, performing regular cleaning and maintaining a welcoming environment
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient store operations
Job Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent oral communication skills are required.
- Positive interpersonal skills are required.
- Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
License/Qualifications:
- Must be 19 years of age to sell liquor per Idaho Code;
- ServSafe alcohol certification (or equivalent)
- Idaho State Police Alcohol Awareness Training

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to speak and hear.
- Close and distance vision.
- Frequent standing for the duration of the shift.
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
