Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating drones for various applications, including aerial photography, surveying, and data collection. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The Drone Pilot will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure high-quality results while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Operate drones for a variety of purposes, including film production, surveying, and mapping.
  • Capture high-resolution aerial photographs and videos while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks and post-flight inspections to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
  • Analyze data collected from drone flights and provide insights based on findings.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to determine flight plans and objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of current Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to drone operations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in drone technology and techniques to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Drone Pilot or in a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing previous work in photography or film.
  • Strong understanding of GIS principles and applications.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems related to drone operation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) regulations is a plus.
  • Certification from an accredited organization or relevant training in drone operation is preferred.
  • A passion for aviation and the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus opportunities
