What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at Barefoot Republic Camp?
Job Summary
The Program Coordinator will play a crucial role at our Christian children’s camp by working directly with our Program Director in facilitating the planning and execution of all camp activities and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Director with administrative and organizational tasks, ensuring that both big-picture goals and small details are covered
- Ensure all camp activities are ready and running smoothly by managing the day-to-day logistics, including supply management, safety checks, and transportation coordination
- Track and manage inventory of supplies needed for activities, ensuring enough materials are available for the expected number of campers
- Work hand-in-hand with the Program Director to ensure all planned activities are executed on time, with all required resources in place
- Communicate with camp counselors and activity leaders to ensure they have the necessary materials and equipment for each activity
- Identify and address any issues that arise during camp activities, finding quick and effective solutions to keep the program running smoothly
Requirements
- Some travel (around 25%) may be required to and from our Fountain Run, KY camp location and our Nashville, TN Community Center
- Experience in a camp, recreation, or youth programming setting is a plus
