Job description
Barilla America, Inc. wants to recruit a Procurement Specialist - within the Americas Supply Chain team and reporting into the Procurement Service Center (PSC) team globally. The individual will report to the PSC International Coordinator.
This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for performing all procurement activities related to PO and contracts creation and follow-up activities: support internal stakeholders in any emergency issues related to PR, perform PR to PO conversion, perform PO follow-up activities, and create and modify contracts as per buyer’s request.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support users in requisitioning Purchase and eventually addressing them to Procurement Help Desk Service for dedicated training
- Manage PRs to create PO documents, according to SRM Process of Governance
- Iinterface with the Budget Holder to approve POs and send it to the Supplier, activating adequate electronic signature accordingly to power of attorney for that specific PO/Contract
- Manage PO and contracts-related processes in case of a paper-based supplier
- Update / Change / Delete PO and contracts if requested
- Verify PO and contracts Status with Suppliers and solicit in case of delay
- Create and maintain contracts in SAP for buyer requests, both as SAP Pricelist and Dummy Contracts
- Create and manage Catalog Contract as per buyer’s request through Jaggaer Platform
- Be a responsive decision-maker to immediately solve any emerging issues related to PO and contract creation
- Have good communication skills (networking) to maintain relationships with Requestor, Supplier, Budget Holder (if needed), Buyer, and corresponding reference contact of EASSC Team
- Have good knowledge of SAP / JAGGAER systems to perform defined activities
- Archive paper-based PO and contract documents
Desired Skills and Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree (concentration in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Finance preferred)
- 1 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement or Supply Chain-related field
- SAP (or ERP system) experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and problem solving
- Able to prioritize tasks and have good time management skills when faced with multiple tasks at once
- Adaptable and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed, organized, and self-driven
- Excellent communicator, persuasive, and demonstrated skills in collaboration
As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay range for this role is $58,000 -$62,000, plus eligibility to participate in the annual discretionary bonus plan. The actual pay for the position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. This range may be subject to change over time.
