Our Marketing team are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager in the US.

Baringa is headquartered in London, with our growth fuelled in part by our expansion into markets outside of the UK.

In the US, Baringa is growing at pace. We have offices in New York, Charlotte, Houston and Chicago and big ambitions to scale up – fast.

To support our growth, we’re looking for a US Marketing Manager. It’ll be your job to help us raise awareness of and generate interest in Baringa amongst our target audiences in the US and to support us in growing some of our largest accounts through our marketing.

You’ll work with our teams across the US, as well as marketing colleagues in our London HQ to develop the marketing strategy for the US, building this from the ground up and delivering this in-market across a range of channels.

You’ll be working across a range of capabilities and sectors: including energy and resources, financial services, consumer goods, retail, media and technology. With climate change solutions and sustainability running as a common thread across these areas, there’s a strong purpose-driven theme to our marketing.

What You Will Be Doing

The main aims of this role are to:

  • Lead our marketing in the US, working closely with relevant stakeholders across Baringa to develop the US marketing strategy
  • Build, get buy-in for, and deliver a US marketing plan which aligns with our global marketing plan.
  • Design and deliver marketing campaigns for a US audience
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team in our London HQ to leverage our global campaigns to build awareness and generate interest in the US. This will involve ensuring the US voice is represented in campaign planning, tailoring global content for a US audience and working with the US team on content creation.
  • Promote our campaigns in the US market with a strong emphasis on digital advertising, sponsorship and industry partnerships to build brand awareness.
  • Work closely with Baringa’s US-based PR agency to drive media coverage
  • Work closely with our Client Experience team to develop an approach for how marketing can support the growth of our largest accounts, through corporate hospitality, client networks and market research.
  • Drive US representation across our brand messaging and communications and roll it out in the US market
  • Measure the results and make recommendations for future marketing
  • Support the build of Baringa’s new marketing function along the way, collaborating with colleagues in the Function and in the wider business to create a world-class team, and show-casing the value of marketing to the business.

This role reports into the International Marketing Senior Manager (based in the UK) and is an integral part of our global marketing team. You will live and breathe our values, lead and shape and own multiple projects, and be accountable and responsible for commercials, interfacing with Partners and Directors across the US business and our London-based HQ. You will be joining at a time where there’s an ambitious vision for how marketing in the US can support our business growth.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Strategic marketing experience in a B2B environment, with a good amount of time spent in a professional services firm in the US.
  • Proven track record in shaping marketing strategy and the appropriate selection of tactics to drive a US business forward at pace and increase customer engagement and sales.
  • A self-starter. You’ll have experience of developing the marketing strategy for a business from the ground up and you won’t be afraid to roll your sleeves up to deliver it, getting involved in everything from content creation to events management
  • Campaign management – you’ll have developed marketing campaigns for other organisations and can point to the results
  • Globally orientated – with experience of delivering US marketing initiatives within the context of a global organisation
  • Expert interpersonal and strong stakeholder management skills. You’ll be adept at building relationships with internal teams and external parties (both online and in person) and you’re able to bring teams together around a common goal.
  • Strong influencer, with the ability to coach and educate senior business stakeholders and drive progression in our US marketing and brand strategy.
  • Ability to work across all levels with impact, effectiveness and influence
  • Line management and team management experience will be beneficial
