Job Summary
Barings Investment Grade Corporates team is seeking a Portfolio Analyst. Works under the guidance of the Portfolio Managers in support of the investment process related to the management of the Investment Grade strategies. This position will reside in our Charlotte, NC office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor portfolio cash flows and liquidity needs, re-balancing portfolios as required
- Monitor daily cash balances to ensure portfolio targets are maintained
- Maintain portfolio duration targets, incorporating cash flows and trade hedging
- Create trade orders and ensure orders, trades and portfolios are in compliance
- Use and improve existing tools to analyze and monitor portfolio positioning relative to stated benchmarks
- Work with Portfolio Managers to allocate trades
- Work with other departments to support operational effectiveness of the team, providing support in areas such as workflow efficiency, compliance, reporting, etc.
Qualifications
- 0-5 years of investment related experience, preferably in fixed income, finance, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Strong technical skills; including Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel and BlackRock Aladdin
- Basic knowledge of fixed income securities including derivative, municipal, corporate and government securities
- Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work well in a team environment
