Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician
Position: Part-Time
Location: Cheshire, CT Campus with 4 properties.

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep across multiple properties. This hands-on role ensures buildings remain safe and functional. No sourcing quotes or contract negotiations required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and facility projects (painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation, moving materials).
• Assist trade contractors as needed.
• Follow Weekly/Monthly Maintenance Checklists and conduct property walk-throughs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Communicate with property manager on larger repair needs.
• Utilize vendor networks but not responsible for contract negotiations.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills: ability to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ability to lift/carry equipment and work on ladders.
• Reliable transportation.

Schedule & Expectations:

• Building hours are Mon-Friday 8am-5pm (hours a day will vary)
• Work follows a structured checklist for each property.
• Flexibility required for urgent repairs.

Education & Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience.
• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and math.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 31.50 per week
