What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Barlean's Organic Oils?

SUMMARY

The Shipping Clerk position requires repetitive work to package our product into boxes to be shipped to our customers. This position requires a high attention to detail in order to ensure that the product matches the packaging slip.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Matching product with packaging slips.
Packing product in boxes securely.
Work efficiently with the team.
Ensure that customer specific requirements are met.
Support a proactive safety environment with emphasis on lean techniques.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory processes and procedures.

Ability to lift, push, pull, reach, lift, and twist up to 70 pounds unassisted.

Grasp new concepts quickly.

Ability to multitask.

Committed to safety at all times.

Excellent communication skills.

Dependable and hard working.

Ability to work in teams.

Good attitude.

Strong work ethic.

Time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and / or written instructions or other information in English.

Ability to understand and perform basic arithmetic functions such as adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in shipping / receiving and order picking / packing operations and working in the manufacturing industry preferred. Previous 5S and lean manufacturing experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing / warehouse environment. Working may require flexible hours with some evening and weekend work.

Salary Description

18.66-$21.00 DOE

Salary : $19 - $21
