What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker I - Hourly Helm position at Barletta Boats?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Working as a member of Helm Department, Helm builder is responsible for reading a worker order and following the work instruction to assemble various helms. Also, must be able to perform visual inspections of helm before and after the build. Must maintain a clean and organized workspace.
There are two levels of Production employees at Barletta (Production I and Production II) which may be differentiated based upon and individual’s specialized skills, abilities, previous work experience, and ability to work across multiple (3 or more) production departments.
Individuals in this role must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years' experience working in a team-focused manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements required of the position, including but not limited to ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, squat for 8 hours and lift upward of 40 lbs.
- Ability to read prints and measuring devices.
- Good visual acuity to help determine wire color codes and helm surface quality.
- Ability to work with and around fiberglass.
- Must possess good work ethic, positive attitude, and be motivated to meet and / or exceed production goals.
- Ability to work flexible hours (overtime / weekends) if needed.
- Flexibility to take on additional assignments given by supervisor as required / needed to support production goals.
- Great attendance record and reliability
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening
