Your responsibilities will include performing routine clinical and clerical tasks, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for examination
- Assisting with minor procedures, drawing blood, and processing prescription refills
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective care plans
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Certification approved by AHA
- Medical Assistant Certification: NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAMA, NCMA, AMCA, AECA, or NAHP
- At least 6 months of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
- Strong written and oral communication skills essential
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
