The Blood Bank department plays a crucial role in the laboratory, specializing in blood transfusions, blood typing, compatibility testing, and other critical services to support patient treatment.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, chemical, physical, or biological sciences. Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Blood Bank Technologist (ASCP), along with a required Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB ASCP) certification, will also be beneficial.
The Blood Bank Clinical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for performing blood typing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and related testing.
