Overview of the Position
The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our practice. This individual must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks, including taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for examination
- Assist with minor procedures, draw blood, process prescription refills, and administer medications as directed by a physician or healthcare practitioner
- Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Certification approved by AHA
- Medical Assistant Certification: NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAMA, NCMA, AMCA, AECA, or NAHP
- At least 6 months of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and attention to detail
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Shift working, 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Monday - Friday
- Full-Time
