Job Overview-
Oncology APN, will be utilized in the clinic for pre-treatment, follow-up, benign hematology new patient visits, POLST, advanced care planning, and palliative care,
You will provide collaborative physician-based care with appropriate levels of autonomy. A focus on high quality and safety in critical to support this high-risk patient population and deliver beyond standard of care to their patients and families.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate from Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey.
- Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program
- BLS and ACLS certified.
- 1-2 years hem/malignancy experience preferred
- CDS and DEA.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full time Days
- 40 Hours
Essential Functions:
- Performs comprehensive initial and episodic health assessments in order to identify existing or potential health problems.
- Initiates and implements individualized nursing and medical plan of care in collaboration with members of multidisciplinary team
- Initiates appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, medical and nursing actions in conjunction with physicians
- Provides follow up care including, acute and routine examinations
- Assesses progress, identify problems, initiate preventive measures, recognizes emergent problems and initiates proper care in collaboration with physicians
- Monitors and adjusts patients medication according to protocol or medical plan of care including adequate pain control.
