Job Overview:
The Coordinator Scheduling for the Interventional Radiology Special Procedures department operates the scheduling systems at a proficient level in order to assist physicians and route cases to appropriate areas for review in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting
- Good typing skills, office routine familiarity with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift
- Full-Time
Essential Functions:
- Provides excellent customer service to patients, physicians and all other hospital staff
- Duties of clerical nature including:
- scheduling procedures
- filling
- answering and routing telephone calls and receiving people
- requesting information and services in the department
- Operates PACS and RIS systems at a proficient level in order to assist physicians and route cases to appropriate areas for review
