The Classics and Ancient Studies Department at Barnard College seeks a full-time Term Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses. This is a two-year position beginning on July 1, 2025, with teaching responsibilities during the standard academic year from September through May.Job Description:
Term Lecturers teach three courses per semester. The Department of Classics and Ancient Studies seeks a broadly trained Latinist with experience teaching digital Classics and classical myth.
Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair.

Terminal degree in a related discipline, with all requirements for the degree completed by the beginning of the appointment.

Salary: $85,500
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
