EDM Team Leader

Internal Candidates Preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

• Read and understand engineering drawings to manufacture parts.
• Train other employees on the operation of CNC EDM
• Act as a resource for other employees
• Determine the appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining process needed to produce a high-quality metal part.
• Set up and run CNC EDM Machines, in a timely manner.
• Produce high quality products.
• Check all machined parts to the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all operator certification requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Work to verbal and written instructions.
• Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm.
• Weld as needed to support production.
• Willing to work Saturdays as needed to support production.

Skills:

• 5 years’ experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of tooling and machining techniques.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good math skills.
• Use of measuring tools.
• Know and understand “Quality at the source”.
• Understand and practice safe working methods.
• Job Shop experience.
• SolidWorks/MasterCam experience.
• CNC EDM experience.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Willing to attend training courses for programming and other relevant skills.
