SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Senior HR Generalist , this is one of two HR Services Coordinator roles which assists in providing administrative support in the core operational processes and procedures of Human Resources firm wide and maintains confidentiality of all client and firm information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Functions as the daily HR representative interacting with internal and external stakeholders via the firm’s HRServices@btlaw.com mailbox. a. Directs inquiries to necessary internal parties/subject matter experts for appropriate reply. b. Coordinates the collection of all necessary profile details to establish and maintain employee profiles of record within the HRIS. c. Follows established firm procedures to ensure any employment changes have received necessary approvals. d. Properly documents employment changes on firm’s official forms for authorization, tracking, and distribution per existing procedures.2. Assists in the collection and reporting of firm data for various internal and external parties as needed.3. Completes verification of employment for current and former partners and employees.4. Facilitate the requests and distribution of service awards firm wide.5. Dispatch e-exit interview questionnaires to departing employees and notify HR Managers for follow up.6. Assists HR team members as needed in Recruiting, HRIS, and Benefits.7. Serves as back up for the HRIS team members as needed.8. Provide support to HR programs and projects as needed or assigned.9. Other HR duties as assigned.The employee must be able to perform all essential job duties and responsibilities of this position satisfactorily and as outlined, with or without reasonable accommodations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1. High School diploma required; advanced degree is preferred but not required.2. Prefer two years’ experience in Human Resources at a law firm or professional services organization, will consider equivalent education and/or relevant experience.3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams.4. Experience with human resources information systems preferred.5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate and deliver results to all levels across the firm.6. Attention to detail in working with figures, and the ability to proofread reports and materials for grammatical, typographical and spelling errors.7. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.8. Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.9. CHICAGO APPLICANT SALARY RANGE: $40,000-$55,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience in this role.
