What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Barnes Vision?
We are looking for someone that can perform multiple duties throughout the office. The employee will perform duties related to optometric assisting. The employee will be responsible for ensuring patients move smoothly through their visits and receive high quality clinical care in our practice. They will assist the patient with contact lens education, IRPL treatments, and vision therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Management of patient flow to provide an exceptional patient experience.
- Paraoptometric duties, including performing pretesting, reviewing medical history, preparing patients for exam, and other tasks requested by the doctor
- Educating patient on insertion, removal and proper care of contact lenses
- Helping maintain a well-organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Assisting the provider with IRPL treatments and vision therapy
- Assist the office with administrative duties and paraoptometric duties, such as returning phone calls, and inventory/supply management.
- Management of patient flow to provide an exceptional patient experience.
