Operations & Continuous Improvement Intern

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Operations and Continuous Improvement organizations on various assignments
  • Collect, validate, and organize data
  • Help identify deficiencies in day-to-day operations
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company HSE policies
  • Complete internship project and present findings
  • Assist with implementation of KanBan for Shop Consumables
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Implement/support the site 6S initiative
  • Expedite material through production processes at the direction of operations management

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively
  • Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
  • Previous experience working with power/hand tools and measurement devices a plus
  • Experience with MS Office preferred

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
