District Manager Job Description
The District Manager (DM) position is responsible for the supervision and support of (3) to (6) restaurants, which are designated by the Regional Manager.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting the General Managers with monitoring profitability through efficient operations and excellent LEADERSHIP.
- Always having at least one GMT in the district working and gaining experience to be ready to promote with the approval of the Regional Manager. Having the right person in the right position is key. Having the backup for that person is as equally important.
- Manage and lead Barnett Management Co. restaurant teams that will work on maintaining the best daily, weekly and monthly results. These results are achieved consistently by facilitating a safe, clean, and high-quality of restaurant operation, resulting in the maximization of each restaurant’s Operation Performance Index (OPI).
- Support the GMs by building strong management & crew teams to control the General Manager/GMT hours, to not exceed 100 hours per payroll window and minimize the AMO, SM & Crew member overtime labor hours.
- The District Manager is responsible for the following:
- Identify and assist with the improvement of controllable operational metrics
- SOS 2:45, food cost at AAV, labor below standard, and NPS greater than 65%
- Reviewing and approving crew and management schedules
- Always have the restaurant ready to achieve a REV with a 90% or above with no criticals
- Work to elevate all the restaurant standards: clean facilities/equipment, great customer service with a sense of urgency
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- The DM work schedule will be a work week of five 10-hour days, for a total of 50 hours per week with Thursday/Sunday or Tuesday/Sunday Off
- Reviewing Schedules to ensure the right amount of crew, based on sales
- Cleaning Inspections & Follow ups every month
- Unannounced REV audits to ensure readiness
- Meet with Regional Manager every Wednesday to review MTD results and Overall District Performance
- The DM will share their schedule with a Regional Manager using Outlook; scheduling, cleaning inspections, REV readiness visits, In-Store Manager meetings, Safe Audits and such and at the end of the day add any other DM activities completed during the day.
- Ability to navigate different webpages that help run reports that can help track goals and identify opportunities for your restaurants. Ex: Gateway, Sicom, Well-built, BK Link and others
- Proven coaching/training experience; ability to make quick decisions and multi-task
- P&L analysis/management experience
