About the Job:
The Operations Manager will manage customer projects from award through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, profit, and customer satisfaction are met.
This role requires close collaboration with project teams to develop and maintain an overall project schedule, showing critical path items and anticipating problematic issues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency of the project management team, adhering to established management principles and staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve the efficiency of the project management team
- Participate in customer site visits, proposal development, and contract reviews to ensure complete understanding of scope, contractual obligations, and risks
- Work closely with project sales representatives to take projects from sales through development into execution
- Interact with customers, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and planning phase of projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path items and potential problem areas
- Communicate project status regularly, including schedule, financial status, risk assessment, quality, safety, and other key areas
- Coordinate work crews and scheduling required equipment

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or sufficient experience; must have experience meeting or exceeding the essential duties listed above
A working knowledge of engineering plans and specifications, basic math and geometry, and planning and leadership skills
PMP certification preferred but not required
