Overview
We are looking for a friendly and customer service-oriented Spa Receptionist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and a passion for helping others feel relaxed and rejuvenated. As a Spa Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting guests, scheduling appointments, handling payments, and providing general support to the spa staff. You will also have the opportunity to promote and sell spa products and services to guests, so a background in sales is a plus. Responsibilities
- Reserve, register and check out guests completely and accurately, following the procedures and policies set up for this process
- Utilize proper selling techniques and strategies to maximize spa revenues
- Open and close the spa in accordance with spa policies
- Checking and completing tasks resulting from email/phone messages daily
- Timely and economical shipment of any phone purchases/guest request shipments, including gift cards
- Perform daily spa retail and reception area maintenance and cleaning, including restocking, tagging, steaming, lint rolling, dusting, straightening, vacuuming, etc
- Accurately post charges to group, guest, member and house accounts when necessary
- Maintain an accurate bank balance
- Produce daily reports and end of month reports according to resort accounting and inventory standards
- Up-sell services and products through learning and communicating to guests about our product and service offerings
- Maintains spa product, supplies and equipment in accordance with resort, state and local standards
- Comply with all OSHA, Health Department and resort regulations
- Regular and predictable attendance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality or spa industry
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills, including experience with booking and scheduling software
- Sales experience is a plus
