Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Spa Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and creating a relaxing spa experience for both pups and pet parents. This role includes assisting with reception duties, retail sales, light grooming tasks as needed—such as bathing, drying, and nail trims—and actively contributing to our social media presence by filming engaging content. The Spa Associate will also be responsible for checking in and out all clients, ensuring seamless transactions, and maintaining an organized and well-stocked retail area while actively promoting our retail products.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome spa guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check in and check out all clients, ensuring accuracy in services and payments
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures using the POS system
- Provide information on spa services, products, and promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the spa reception area
- Assist with bathing, drying, and nail trims when needed
- Willing to jump in and help where needed, including light grooming duties
- Stock and maintain the retail area, ensuring products are well-displayed and replenished
- Proactively promote retail products and educate clients on their benefits
- Capture and film engaging social media content, including behind-the-scenes moments, transformations, and product highlights
- Schedule appointments and manage the spa's booking system efficiently
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints promptly
- Collaborate with the spa team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain a clean environment within the store and spa, dusting and organizing as needed
Experience
- Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail, hospitality, or pet care setting
- Prior experience with dog handling, bathing, or grooming is a plus
- Comfortable filming and creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic math for processing payments and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
- Previous experience in retail sales is a plus
- Ability to confidently promote and upsell retail products
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate effective time management skills
