Barnwell House of Tires is a leading commercial tire business for over 85 years and is looking to expand our established Outside Sales team. The position requires the Outside Sales person to promote the sale of Commercial Tires, Retreads and Fleet Services to our current Commercial Accounts and to also establish new accounts to service.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Ability to project a positive image of the company to customers, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of internal and external customers;
- Primary duty will be making sales, or obtaining orders or contracts for products and services;
- Develop relations with new and existing fleets;
- Prospect dormant accounts
- Understand, assess, and anticipate customers’ objectives, strategies, and requirements to identify and pursue sales opportunities;
- Work with major manufacturers to find solutions in fleets;
- Acquire new customers to maximize growth;
- Attend trade shows and other industry events;
- Responsible for National Accounts and Government Accounts and local book accounts
- Create target account list
- Prospect small fleets and develop call cycle accordingly:
- Collaborate with operational team internally and externally and set expectations;
- Coordinate Fleet Surveys and installs with operations;
- Perform tire surveys using tire optics;
- Review findings of fleets conditions with fleet and VP of Sales;
- Track products to gain knowledge and analyze tire performance;
- Contribute to a Market Blitz of fleets to create brand awareness.
- Provide support to AP and operations in respect to fleets needs and processes;
- Develop profitable business in your territory;
- Perform Scrap Analysis with fleet.
Qualifications:
- Successful sales history with 1-3 years outside sales experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, with a preference for candidates from the tire industry, fleet sales, construction, or similar industry
- Must have a valid license, in good standing.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor degree preferred
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
The salary range for the position of Territory Manager is a base salary of $50,000 - $85,00 annually. This position will be eligible for additional incentives. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
