Job Overview:
As a Professional Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a wide variety of drinks, and ensuring the bar area is stocked, clean, and organized. You will engage with guests, create unique drink experiences, and contribute to an overall positive and energetic environment. A passion for mixology and the ability to handle a fast-paced, high-volume setting are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, specialty drinks, and craft cocktails, according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, engaging manner, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
- Maintain knowledge of the full drink menu, including seasonal offerings, specials, and any new drink creations.
- Ensure that all drinks are served to company standards, with attention to quality, taste, and presentation.
- Handle cash and process payments, including accurately operating the POS system and managing tabs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning glassware, and disposing of trash.
- Check identification to verify guests are of legal drinking age.
- Replenish stock and monitor inventory levels to ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times.
- Monitor the pace of service and adjust accordingly to ensure all customers are served in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, including alcohol service laws and hygiene practices.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the bar and restaurant team to ensure smooth service and positive guest experiences.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, working to resolve issues efficiently and with a calm demeanor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender in a busy bar or restaurant setting, with a strong knowledge of cocktail recipes and bartending techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and mixers, as well as industry trends and classic cocktail preparation.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Must be of legal drinking age and possess any required certifications (e.g., TIPS, Responsible Beverage Service Training).
- Ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
