Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Property Accountant at Baron Property Group in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for remote work. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for financial statements, journal entries, accounting, finance, and financial reporting. Daily tasks include managing financial records, preparing reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization
• Ensure with AP that all invoices and receivable transactions are accounted for accurately
• Complete Bank Reconciliations in Yardi
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes
• Prepare alongside AP annual 1099 reporting
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements for investors and lender reporting as well as ensure accurate books and records for external tax accountants
• Conduct general monthly ledger reconciliation
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information
• Accounts receivable management, as necessary
• Perform intercompany billings, as necessary
• General ledger reconciliation
• Ensure annual beneficial ownership informational reporting is completed timely
Qualifications
- Financial Statements, Journal Entries (Accounting), and Accounting skills
- Finance and Financial Reporting skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Knowledge of real estate accounting practices
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certification such as CPA is preferred
Salary : $95,000 - $135,000
