Since inception, the firm’s disciplined investment approach has produced a successful track record developing and investing in commercial real estate throughout the United States.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant for a full-time position in their midtown Manhattan office. Applicant must have experience in real estate industry, an eye for detail, and excellent analytic and communication skills.
This position is 5 days in the office.
\n- Responsible for the monthly reporting packages consisting of shopping centers, office building, development properties, garages and retail spaces.
- Update the escrow balances and mortgage summary reports.
- Review cash flow and various management reports.
- Provide outside accountants with the statement of changes, and sources and uses files.
- Reconcile tenant security accounts and ledgers.
- Responsible for creating AP batches for the mortgages in Yardi.
- Review and approve invoices in Yardi.
- Review bank reconciliations.
- Update the escrow and mortgage balances for Treasury Department.
- Maintain accounting workpapers.
- Review distribution schedule provided by Treasury Department and document variances.
- Prepare quarterly status reports with asset managers.
- Prepare the annual budgets and 3-year projections with Property Managers and Lease Administrator for leasing assumptions and operating expenses.
- Review CAM reconciliations for budgets and year-end audits.
- Prepare year end audit workpaper packages and deliver to auditors.
- Work with the auditors to complete the audited financial statements.
- Record journal entries for consolidated books at year end.
- Update GAAP straight-line excel schedules for year end.
- Update GAAP depreciation excel schedules for year end.
- Required knowledge of Yardi Voyager’s Custom Financial Reports and Advanced Budgeting Tools
- Experience within the commercial and retail segments of the real estate industry.
- Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Salary: $100-130k
