The Director, Global Quality Assurance will manage all activities related to the Quality Department activities globally for the company. This requires “hands-on” leadership in defining and implementing quality initiatives that support Microban’s global business in order to maximize business opportunities while ensuring compliance with current and future regulations.
The Director, Global Quality Assurance serves as a company representative with customers, develops strategic options for Quality Assurance (QA), and disseminates action plans throughout departments, management, and development of employees. This position develops, implements, and coordinates an ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System (QMS) to continuously improve existing products and processes. Ensures compliance of all elements of the Quality System and drives process improvements across departments to ensure continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Manage and serve as back up function for Certificate of Analysis (COA) generation, product release, annual testing, retain program, document control, External QA program, equipment calibration, Docusign, new product activations, product modifications, internal audits, and supplier approvals.
· Oversee the product activation process for new products and modifications to existing products. Ensure the process is working and make modifications as needed for continuous improvement.
· Perform CAPA and Complaint investigations and facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate root cause analysis/corrective action to drive continuous improvement within the company.
· Conduct management review meetings with company leadership to review organizational performance to maintain a compliant and robust QMS.
· Lead and coordinate operations between departments to establish responsibilities and procedures for continuous improvement.
· Perform supplier audits as required to ensure compliance with quality standards. Provide ongoing support work with suppliers on all quality-related issues for the Microban product portfolio.
· Maintain a working knowledge of current and future quality standards that affect Microban’s business and provide strategic advice to the company to help it maximize business opportunities. Review technical publications and articles and participate in industry conferences and meetings to stay abreast of industry standards and practices as it relates to Quality Assurance.
· Organize and plan educational-related activities annually across the company for the quality management and investigation tools related to CAPAs and non-conformances.
· Responsible for the oversight of the storage and stability program.
· Manage and plan employee work output, employee development, and performance management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree or equivalent in a technical, science, or managerial field and seven years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior supervisory experience is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, TEAMS, Lab Information Management System (LIMS), EPA CDX system, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
ISO Auditor Certification is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision, able to manage multiple priorities at a time, and able to adjust rapidly and embrace changing landscapes. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to deal with both internal and external customers. Must have strong prioritization and management skills.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must have Industry Quality Experience and Chemical Industry Experience commensurate with position responsibilities and a solid technical background with ability to analyze and interpret technical and laboratory data. Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time including international travel as needed.
