We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires accurate data entry, preparation and packaging of medications, maintaining proper inventory of medications and supplies, keeping appropriate records and documentation, and maintaining patient account receivables.
```Duties:```
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist to maintain compliance with all applicable federal and multiple state laws at all times, including HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain accurate medication records and inventory
- Assist in the management of medication orders and prescriptions
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Maintain efficient operations and independently resolve problems to ensure outstanding customer service, both in person and over the telephone.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the pharmacy and anywhere medications are handled and stored.
- A strong candidate must have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily workload and handle complex systems and information.
```Qualifications:```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nationally certified is preferred or one year of relevant health care experience and/or completion of the National Board Certified Pharmacy Technician exam within 365 day of hire date
- Familiarity with pharmacy terminology and medication names
- Dependability and punctuality is a must
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
