We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Tasting Room Associates to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with people, working in a dynamic environment, and learning about craft beer and local wine.
Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Service
- Provide an engaging and educational wine-tasting experience for guests.
- Pour wine and beer tastings, serve food, and ensure all guests feel welcome.
- Offer knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about our wines, vineyards, and products.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Make food to our high standards at a fast paced that meets guests satisfaction
Retail & Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop and tasting room.
- Assist with inventory management, including labeling, stocking, and rotating products.
- Follow proper cash-handling procedures and accurately process transactions.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Minimize product waste and ensure efficient use of supplies.
- Assist with event setup, coordination, and execution as needed.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding product needs, guest feedback, and operational improvements.
- Maintain a proactive approach to tasks, staying productive during slower periods.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work weekends
- Previous experience in a customer service based role
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members is crucial. It’s about conveying warmth, enthusiasm, and a willingness to solve problems
- Experience handling difficult customers or situations in a calm and professional manner
- You must be able to juggle multiple tasks (serving customers, taking orders, handling payments, refilling drinks) without sacrificing the quality of service
- A genuine interest in making people feel welcome, whether they’re regulars or first-timers
- Have a positive attitude
- Able to remain calm in stressful situations
