Position Summary:
Responsible for handling and correctly processing material and ensuring inventory accuracy by completing all functions required for receiving, storing, moving and putting away inventory items, and accurately picking material for multiple types of orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Enter and update information accurately into computer ERP system and use handheld scanner to maintain records relating to inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for all locations including off-site warehouses and storage areas. Ensure counts are accurate for all items being received or moved to inventory by verifying the correct quantity and item number.
- Complete bin location changes in the system and transfer items between main plant and off-site warehouses when needed, making sure to verify the item and quantity is correct.
- Receive and put away orders, accurately check material into inventory and correctly label with part number and lot number. Ensure all documents are correct, including serial number verification of item if needed.
- Ensure appropriate quality checks are completed for material. Fill out quality reject tags as needed and update quality reject log.
- Issue the correct parts and quantities from inventory on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis.
- Maintain and update log records for customer owned or government furnished material.
- Ensure that all parts are protected against corrosion and kept in good quality condition, by using prescribed methods of prevention.
- Accurately pull material to complete / fulfill orders in a timely manner, keeping enough material staged in all work areas.
- Support Packing, Production, and Assembly by ensuring all areas have enough material pulled (including coverage for weekend and night shifts) and received items are put away.
- Ensure reusable totes, bins and other containers are clean and stored in correct locations.
- Accurately complete regular cycle counts and fully investigate any inventory discrepancies.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED, plus two years of experience as required.
Computer Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to learn new software and database programs as necessary. Frequently required to use ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics GP), and handheld scanner for inventory control and material handling functions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Maintain valid driver’s license. Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
Must be able to operate a towmotor and obtain a BFMI Towmotor License.
