Midland Asphalt Materials Inc.a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs.We are currently looking for aForepersonfor a FiberMat Crew. This person will directly oversee the daily activities of the assigned crew. This role will be paid according to NYS Prevailing Wage.
- Facilitate daily safety meetings
- Plan/Coordinate daily and weekly activities and adjust according to weather conditions i.e. road pre-trip, traffic control, lodging etc.
- Collect and provide all pertinent paperwork for timely management of customersa requirements and company procedures for invoicing, payroll, payable, etc.
- Ensure work progresses according to project schedule and verify that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time
- Interface with project officials and inspectors regarding worksite activities
- Work with Shop Manager/Foreman to ensure proper and timely preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment and emergency repairs
- Use various computer programs for tasks like time keeping, expense reports etc
- Act as the first point of contact for all employee concerns and address accordingly
- Promptly report all incidents or accidents to Supervisor/Safety Officer
- Attend project progress meetings as required
- Actively works to develop and retain crew
- Adhere to all Midland safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
