Director of Human Resources
Position Summary:
The Director of HR will work closely with all senior leaders across the organization and group to identify, recommend, develop and implement the companies strategic plan.
This role will lead and execute all HR strategic initiatives in line with Group HR direction and Group Values. Further, is responsible for delivering HR best practice across all HR operational functions within the area of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborates with all senior leaders and executives within the business & Group to ensure that business activities align with the Group and Business strategy.
Under the direction of the Vice President of Business Services and in consultation with Group Chief People Officer, delivers & implements the strategic plan activities ensuring delivery and of the HR objectives with the area of control.
Management of a team of HR operational and recruitment members ensuring efficient, compliant and effective HR service delivery to stakeholders.
Be a champion of the NIOA Group Values and advocate through driving iniatives, demonstrating through own behaviours, those of the HR team and through the company.
Advise senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational structure improvements.
Promote collaboration across leadership globally (Australia – Group Office, NZ, UK) sharing best practice and supporting knowledge management.
Champion Group initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, company culture and retention.
Lead the talent management lifecyle ensuring the attraction, development and retention of top talent through providing clear direction & guidance to the Talent Mgt specialist.
In conjunction with Global HR functions, develop and design succession planning initiatives.
Partner with senior leaders to identify skill gaps and implement development plans.
Collaborate with leaders and managers to facilitate & focus on contiuous professional growth through feedback and coaching initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
Guide, support and direct managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, employee relations and development.
Focus on optimization of the HRIS and payroll systems.
This role will also be responsible for the HR service delivery to other U.S. owned companies ie NIOA Inc.
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) required. Master’s Degree Preferred.
Minimum of Five (5) years experience in HR operations across a variety of industries.
Minimum of Five (5) years managing a team of people.
