Field Technician
Job Summary:
Field Technicians work in commercial buildings installing curtain wall insulation, waterproofing, joint sealants, air barriers, fireproofing, fire stopping, expansion joints, and perimeter joints. They will report to the site foreman (temporary role, but not a fulltime position), General Foreman or the Superintendent and use knowledge to execute projects to specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Installing caulking in expansion, contraction, and control joints in the following:
- Interior and exterior masonry
- Door, window and louver frames
- Precast panel joints
- Coping joints
- Saw Cuts in concrete
Installing firestopping at wall joints, slab joints and penetrations
Installing waterproofing at below grade, split slab and balcony conditions
Installing sheet and fluid applied air barriers
Utilize caulking gun
Utilize basic hand tools as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of basic tools and materials
- Comfortable working at various heights
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- 1 years of commercial construction experience preferred
- History of good attendance and reliability
- Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively with limited direction and supervision
- Working knowledge of commercial construction jobsite safety rules
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must pass drug screen, criminal background check and driver’s license check.
