Job Summary
The ideal preventative maintenance technician will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of material handling equipment including dock equipment, commercial and residential doors, racking systems and more. This role helps ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity by identifying and addressing issues before they become critical.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on material handling systems and equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components for signs of wear or damage.
- Lubricate, clean and calibrate machines and mechanical components.
- Document all maintenance activities including parts used and time spent.
- Operate a service truck stocked with tools, parts and diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain clean, safe and well organized mobile workspace.
- Identify and request needed parts through the parts specialist.
- Provide on the spot training or advice on proper equipment use or maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure safe working environment.
- Maintain tools, equipment and inventory of stock parts.
- Installation of equipment upgrades
Experience
- Familiarity with brands like Rytec, Clopay, CHI, PowerAmp and KwikWall.
- Proficiency with service management systems such as SalesForce Field Service.
- OSCHA 10/30 hour training
- DOT certification or CDL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
