The Utilities Systems Inspector is responsible for inspecting residential and commercial construction sites for compliance with Barrow County Water and Sewer Standards, Details and Ordinance requirements and applicable approved construction plans; inspection of Water Distribution and Sewer Collection systems to identify maintenance and repair needs.

Tasks are subject to modification as the needs of the department change.Conduct field inspections on water and sewer infrastructurePrepare reports, forms and documenting in the department databaseRespond to inquiries and concerns received from developers, contractors, homeowners, and other customers pertinent to infrastructure construction and corrective actions.Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.Ability to observe construction activities and determine compliance with the plans and specifications.Must have good writing and organizational skills in order to prepare and keep daily reports and maintain other associated project paperwork.Must be self-motivated and display the ability to be prompt and reliable.GA driver’s licenseAssist with other Utilities work as required by Utilities Manager.
