Overview
The Account Manager (AM) maintains existing relationships and develops new business relationships with clients using a solutions-based and consultative selling approach. The AM reports directly to the Director of Sales. The AM is chiefly responsible for promoting products and services to ensure client satisfaction from the execution of sale through project completion, consistently messaging and communicating the Barrows company brand. Overall, Barrows is looking for the following traits in an Account Manager:

Responsibilities
- Prospect, strategize, and qualify new business opportunities through relationship building, cold and warm calling, networking and leveraging referrals; Develops a deep knowledge of market trends, product and service offerings and apply that knowledge to the Barrows Sale process
- Manage existing accounts to ensure client satisfaction and on-going business relationships; maintain close contact with key influences within existing accounts as well as in the Barrows community
- Maintain awareness of key industry events and networking opportunities; actively participate in these activities on a regular basis to develop partnerships and promote Barrows ‘products and service offerings
- Qualify need, budget, and time constraints on new opportunities; Provide outstanding service and value through collaborative problem-solving and timely response to client requests
- Partner with Creative Leadership to create experiences/solutions that differentiate Barrows from competitors. Work closely with internal departments to strategically develop specific product and service solutions that satisfy the client while supporting the interest of Barrows
- Successfully manage project pipeline and specific projects from inception to completion utilizing sales support operations and design divisions
- Partner with manufacturers’ representatives to leverage client relationships, strategic partnerships and GPOs; maintain updated product knowledge to provide appropriate client solutions
- Performs other duties as assigned and necessary for business efficiency
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or work equivalent
- Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: Account Management, Sales, Process Improvement, Construction and A&D Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce or other CRM Software
- Ability to travel outside of the office, including occasional overnight
- Speaks and writes clearly and concisely; Has the ability to tailor messages across a variety of audiences
