What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Outpatient Therapist position at Barry County Community Mental Health Authority?
We are looking for a motivated therapist to provide outpatient treatment. Duties of the therapist role include assessment and individual and or group therapy. The ideal candidate should have licensure as a social worker, psychologist or professional counselor. If you have previous experience in behavioral health therapy and or substance, use disorder treatment, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful therapist will assist BCCMHA in improving the lives of those we serve.
Responsibilities of Adult Outpatient Therapist
- Provide individual and or group therapy
- Conduct bio psychosocial assessment
- Provide crisis intervention services
- Document all services appropriately
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Attend group and individual supervision
Requirements of Adult Outpatient Therapist :
- Full or Limited Licensure (LLMSW) as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Professional Counselor
- Possession of or willingness to pursue SUD credentialling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- One to three years of experience providing therapy services to adults and/or children
- Work well within a team
- Previous experience with the community mental health system
