The Bartender/Server is a dual-role position that encompasses both crafting and serving beverages and providing attentive table service. Responsibilities:
Bartending:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Craft classic and innovative cocktails with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking inventory and ensuring proper sanitation.
- Interact with customers at the bar, providing recommendations and engaging in friendly conversation.
- Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service.
Serving:
- Greet and seat guests, providing menus and answering questions about menu items.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver food and drinks to tables promptly.
- Provide attentive and personalized table service, anticipating guest needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
- Up-sell food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience.
- Knowledge of the menu items, and the ingredients within them.
General:
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Adhere to all restaurant/bar policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to learn and use the POS system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bartender and/or Server in a restaurant or bar setting.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
