As a multi-discipline firm, Isett provides a full range of engineering and consulting services, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, geotechnical, and municipal engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, code enforcement, plan review, construction management, construction materials testing, and grant writing services to clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
Isett is seeking a dedicated and organized Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue invoices, enter cash receipts, and assist with fee collection from clients.
- Enter proposals, timesheets, projects, expense reports, petty cash, and accounts payable into accounting systems.
- File and retrieve accounting records as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of private matters.
- Take on special projects as assigned.
- Foster regular and effective communication within the organization.
- Provide support to the accounting department by assisting with a variety of accounting functions when needed.
- Identify potential business opportunities and relay information to appropriate colleagues.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; additional education/business courses preferred.
- Must be computer literate and fully understand the Isett accounting system.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Ability to work as part of a team, have good communication skills, and respond to the needs of several coworkers at once.
- Valid driver's license required for occasional travel to client sites and deliveries.
